Something to Check Again

One of the differences between the Basic and Standard clients is where they store/get some UI information. The Standard client uses the Workspace directory for some things and the Basic client doesn't. At least, that is my understanding, I don't have specific knowledge that this is true, but it is the working assumption that I would go with.

So, if you use the Basic client, it might well be avoiding the confused part of your workspace that only the Standard client can see. This fits the behavior, so it might be worthwhile trying that cleaning/replace recommendation posted earlier.
